BitHistory recently attended an Estate Sale where we found a very nice original Apple II REV0 system which we purchased. This is one of the earliest original Apple II’s we’ve seen, with a very low four-digit (19xx) serial number, and is now the oldest original Apple II in our collection.
The Apple II. Conceived and developed by the iconic duo of Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, the Apple II, first released in April 1977, remains a symbol of innovation, creativity, and the birth of the modern computing era.
The Apple II was Apple’s second product, following the Apple I, which was primarily designed by Wozniak. The Apple I was a rudimentary machine, targeted at hobbyists and tinkerers. However, it was the Apple II that took the concept of personal computing to new heights.
